The Petersham Public Facilities & Energy Renewal Committee is established to advise the Selectboard on matters concerning the provision, maintenance, repair, and improvement of town-owned buildings and related infrastructure, to serve as the Town’s Energy Committee, seeking to improve the energy performance of town facilities, and to work in close partnership with the Capital Improvements Committee & Town departments. Among its activities, the Committee may provide planning, evaluate needs, offer technical guidance, track projects, and make recommendations to seek grants & funding, with the objective of providing Town facilities that support the Town’s activities, and helping address safety, cost-effectiveness, and long-term stewardship of Town assets.
This is a newly established committee, and seeks members for four positions. Town residents with expertise in public facility design, construction, operations, capital project development, and contemporary energy solutions are encouraged to be in touch with the Selectboard to discuss this opportunity. Additional members represent the Selectboard, Historic Commission, and Planning Board.
